National Allergy Strategy 250K Youth Camp - Registrations for WA Camp Feb 2021 Now Open

11 December 2020

250K Youth Camp

The National Allergy Strategy has funding to engage with teens and young adults living with severe allergy and we are excited to be running another NAS 250K Youth Camp. The camp will be held from Friday 26 February to Sunday 28 February 2021 at Ern Halliday Recreation Camp in Hillarys, Western Australia.

The camp is for school aged teens (10-17 years) at risk of anaphylaxis and free to participants. The camp is open to teens from outside of Western Australia, however please note that the NAS is unable to fund travel costs.

A number of National Allergy Strategy/Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia staff will be attending the camp along with allergists, allergy nurses, allergy dietitians experienced in complex food allergy, who will be joining in with the activities. To find out what we did on our previous camps held in NSW and Victoria, visit the camp section of the 250K school aged teens website.

National Allergy Strategy Rationale

Allergic diseases have become an increasingly important chronic disease and public health issue in Australia and other developed countries over the last two decades, contributing to increased demand for medical services, significant economic cost of care and reduced quality of life of people with allergic diseases and their carers.
